Hombi’ Coco by Mario Gonsalves
I was on my way to Baby Beach in San Nicolas when I saw the coconut man in the hot sun sitting by himself as he watches the shore in front of him. As any other local I stopped for some fresh coconut water! Regardless if this man has been sitting there for hours or minutes without a client, the vibe that he gave when preparing my coconut is something truly unique to the island. The charisma, the jokes and the singing, I just had to take a shot of him! So I grabbed the camera just as he was finishing up. He cleans the table, I run over, and he throws what is left of the coconut to the birds and I snap! I knew I had something special, when I was home I realized just how special this capture was.
Little Sunbeam by Michael Salazar
This playful, curious and protective fairy character, came into life on November 19th, 2017 thanks to the collaboration with my partner in this project, Francis Rodriguez (female) Makeup Artist from SFXAruba. Our goal is to expose the delicate beauty of this little and exotic butterfly paradise, combining our passion for the arts and the tropical scenery of Butterfly Farm Aruba.
The SVL model agency was an essential part of this project, providing the model and helping behind the scenes.
No butterflies were harmed during this Photo shoot, the makeup used is non-toxic, safe to the skin and the environment.
The copyright of this picture and makeup belongs to Michael Salazar and Francis Rodriguez.

Morning Splendor by Harold Kelly
This image was taken on a Saturday at 7:04AM. I woke up early and went in this unnamed rooi to shoot before sunrise. I wanted to shoot this specific place for a while and wanted to wait till it was a bit greener to get different textures and colors along the hills While I was setting up my camera in the rooi I didn’t like the view and wanted to get a better vantage point so I decided to climb up the rock face to get more depth of the landscape. Once there I looked for the best angle that would give a sense of the sheer depth of the rooi which cut through the rolling hills trough time.
Flamingos by Cado de Lannoy
Inspired by different birds on the island, I wanted to capture something warm. The flamingos on a warm background made the perfect combination for the wood print.
Boca Keto Sunrise by Harold Kelly
This image was taken at Boca Keto on 9/3/2017 6:42 am. Boca Keto is one of my favorite places on the island. Its a very serene and beautiful place. I go there regularly to surf and this particular morning I decided to wake up early and go check the waves and photograph the bay. While walking towards the bay I noticed the boat which stranded there a couple of days earlier. While I walked towards the boat I noticed a hole on the side and started to take pictures close to the boat. As the sun was rising and the light was getting more intense I decided to walk back to get a wider angle before the light got to bright. I literally walked back 5 steps and decided to compose the image with my footsteps in the lower corner to make it more interesting. I shot straight into the sun to get the golden reflection on the beach and sea and the bokeh to light the shape of the rock and bring some light in front of the boat.
Aruba’s Green Secrets by Laura Wagenaars
This photo is taken in the beginning of January in Savaneta.
The last months of 2016 there was a lot of rain on Aruba. It rained so much that Aruba blossomed into a fairy tale at a few secret places. Until a few months in 2017 you could see this beautiful view.
